Photo manipulation testing

This is what the orginal picture of Sarah Jessica Parker looked like. I then used the blemish remover tool on Serif Photoplus X4 to get rid of her spot, frown lines and wrinkles. To then enhance her makeup I used the website 'taaz.com'. I applied foundation and concealer to even out her skin tone, I added some eye liner underneath her eyes to stand out and I gave her red bold lips.

With Orlando Bloom's picture, I applied foundation and concealer to even out his skin and make it look more smooth and bright.

The purpose of this article is to promote a tour and an album. You can seee this from the use of words. 'Tour' being the biggest word shows that it is very important. Other important words are 'Muse', 'album', 'band' and 'forthcoming'. These tell you whats happening, who's involved and when its's happening.

The purpose of this article is to announce Girls Alouds 'anniversary' which is 'official' and tells you there will be a 'countdown' involved. This article is trying to be very exciting by using words such as 'revealing' to make it sound like some sort of secret.

This articles seems to be very varied as there are a lot of people involved. The purpose of this article is to give loads of information and to focus on a few things rather than just one. 'Party', 'dubstep', 'festival', although it is speaking about different things there is a theme throughout the article.

Photography planning (mock-up)

For my model I will be using one girl as my main cover and for my DPS photos and for my contents I will be using various people which will mostly consist of girls.

The makeup will be done by me and the costumes used will consist of daily attires and dresses. I will be using hats as a theme for my cover and DPS. I also want jewelry to be a main focus on my models.

For my cover and contents the location will not matter since I will be using a simple white background and then cutting out the images using software. My DPS location will either be outside at the arboretum or I will set up a casual set inside a home.
I will probably use various props such as a guitar or a mic.

My lighting and effect will be done on editing sites as well as using various lights pointing towards my models during the photoshoot.

My cover will be a close up with the model looking straight into the camera.

This is an example of what my photos will look like after they have been edited. And I will be using a camera with better quality.

My contents images will slight distance shots with the models either performing or looking straight into the camera. These 2 photos show my model 'playing' the piano and 'playing' the guitar.

My DPS photos will vary from one distance shot where my model will be posing and looking into the camera and I will add other images where my model is performing in various poses, this will be made into a photobooth style strip.
I want my readers to feel as if they are friends with the artist therefore the silly face and the image of the model laughing into the camera looks like they are coming towards the reader.

My cover pose is going to be simple and straight forward with a natural pose. My DPS photo will have my model doing a full bodyshot pose either standing or sitting/laying down.

The background will either be outside on grass or flowers or inside in a living room setting. If I do an indoors shoot I may change the photo to black and white but If i do an outdoors pose I will leave it with colour to represent the nature.

Overall I will be using one photo for my cover, atleast 4-6 for my contents and 5 for my DPS. On my DPS one photo will take up a whole page whilst the other 4 will be smaller and have a photobooth strip affect to them. My contents image will consist of lots of different models with the largest image being my model from the cover whilst the others will be unrelated artists that fit into my genre.

Moodboard

I had to make a moodboard with images that would represent the magazine i'm going to produce.
The images on my moodboard are of existing artists and models that I think suit my genre of music very well. I am going for a 'boho chic with a rocker chick edge' kind of image for my magazine. It is a girl biased theme therefore I want to show the dominating side of females.

Along with my rock chick theme I have added a bit of a glamorous and elegant feel to it although there is also a slight cheekiness with it to show the more daring side of my magazine. These images show for what I have in mind for my own magazine. My magazine will revolve around a mixture of genres such as alternative rock, indie, soul, blues rock and glam rock. So overall it will be rock but with different varieties.
